Pickerington Central’s Berry Wallace carries team past Chapel Hill

It was all Berry Wallace Thursday in Pickerington Central’s (OH) 40-27 win over Chapel Hill in the battle of the Tigers. The Illinois commit was the only player to finish in double digit points, finishing the game with 16 points to go with 8 rebounds. Pickerington Central forced 27 Chapel Hill turnovers which proved to be the nail in the coffin for the North Carolina based Tigers.


Chapel Hill was led by Laynie Smith who grabbed a game high 11 rebounds and added 7 points in the contest. Jadzia Burnette was the leading scorer for Chapel Hill with 9 points.


Pickerington Central advances to the semifinals against Denville Morris Catholic (NJ) for a shot at a Wonderland bracket championship berth, while Chapel Hill will meet Charlotte Mallard Creek in a consolation game.
