Charlotte Myers Park takes home the trophy in first Holiday Invitational

The Charlotte Myers Park Mustangs took the 170 mile trip back home with a brand new piece of hardware for the trophy case as they leave Holliday Gymnasium with an overtime win over the Arden Christ School Greenies 50-45 in the Day’ron Sharpe Bracket of the 2023 John Wall Holiday Invitational. The Mustangs never led until the first basket of overtime but would not let the Greenies put the game away in regulation.

Sharpe Bracket MVP Sadiq White led Myers Park with a game high 19 points while All-Tournament Selection Sir Mohmmed added another 10 points. Ashton King tacked on another 12 points of his own.

Zymicah Wilkins paced the Greenies in scoring finishing with 13 points as well as a game high 12 rebounds to go along with being named Sharpe Bracket MOP. Bryson Cokley finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the Greenies. Christ’s Madden Collins was also selected to the All-Tournament team.
