Morris Catholic’s Pauldo twins too much for North Pitt

The Denville (NJ) Morris Catholic Crusaders came out firing in the second half to knock off the Bethel North Pitt Panthers 68-52 en route to their second consecutive Holiday Invitational title in the Wonderland bracket. The Crusaders Mia Pauldo found herself in foul trouble early in the second quarter and the Panthers took a 26-25 lead into the locker room at halftime thanks to NC State commit Zamareya Jones’ 20 points. The Crusaders used a 26 point third quarter to take the lead all the way to the final buzzer.

All Tournament Selection Mya Pauldo led the Crusaders in scoring with 22 and Wonderland Bracket MVP Mia Paulo had 19 of her own. Alexis Rosenfeld added 13 points and a game high 12 rebounds in the victory.

North Pitt’s star Zamareya Jones had a game high 37 points along with 9 rebounds on her way to being named Wonderland Bracket MOP. Jones finished the tournament with an astounding 108 points to break McKayla Saunders’ 12 year old girls scoring record of 92 while also being enough to place her 4th all time boys or girls.
